Crime: Update: Victim Identified

In Death Investigation in the area of 186 Northampton Street

At about 12:35 PM on Monday February 4, 2019, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 186 Northampton Street in Lower Roxbury. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, suffering life-threatening injuries was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim has since been identified as Juan Morales, 32, of Fitchburg.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
