Some familiar faces helped keep a special Thanksgiving tradition alive at Pine Street Inn on Thursday, serving more than 2,000 holiday meals to Bostonians in need.

Mayor Michelle Wu, Senator Ed Markey, and Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov rolled up their sleeves alongside volunteers to distribute the Thanksgiving spread. Zadorov even brought dessert to share with guests.

The effort brought the community together to provide a traditional holiday celebration for those who might otherwise go without one. Pine Street Inn, Boston's largest homeless services provider, works year-round to help people get back on their feet, serving approximately 2,400 individuals daily through its shelter programs and support services.
